Photo Essay | Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
I posted a photo of the Kansas City Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on Monday. Now that I’ve edited the other 300, I wanted to share a few more to give you a sense of this fabulous event. Kansas City raised over $400,000 for the American Cancer Society this year!

Photo of the Day: Red & Green Don’t Always Mean Christmas
The first beautiful leaf fallen from our maple tree (taken before the tree turned a brilliant yellow).

Photo of the Day: Making Strides in Kansas City
Saturday was the 5th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event in Kansas City. This local American Cancer Society walk has grown from about 2,000 walkers 5 years ago to over 15,000 walkers and $400,000 raised this year! I was excited to be one of the official photographers again this year; more photos to come after I finish editing them.

Photo of the Day: Big Sis
During the family photos after Ava’s baptism last weekend, big sis Leah did a great job entertaining herself at the altar with her board books.
Photo of the Day: Baby Baptism
Last weekend I was honored to become the Godmother to little Ava at her baptism. Here’s the beautiful 3-month old!

Photo of the Day: The Golden Hour
On our way home from the Maple Leaf Fest this weekend, I couldn’t help but pull over to snap a few photos of the countryside during the gorgeous golden hour before sunset.

And for those who are curious … here is my 20 week baby bump! I promise I won’t post too many of these self-portraits. 🙂

P.S. Happy 4th anniversary to my husband Jerod!
Photo of the Day: Brilliant Blooms
I saw this beautiful bouquet at the Maple Leaf Festival this weekend. It was only $10, and looking back, I wonder if I should have bought it. But what could be better than a photo that lasts forever?

Family Portraits | Brian, Jill, & Charlie
After posting a sneak peek a couple of weeks ago, I couldn’t wait to edit the rest of the photos from my most recent family photo session. This couple and their Cavalier King Charles were naturals in front of the camera! Note: If you would like holiday photos, please book them by Nov. 8.

Photo of the Day: Crafty Fall Wreath
A couple of weeks ago when I got an itch to be crafty, I made this fall wreath for our front door. It was really easy, and much less expensive than buying one. I got all of the supplies at Michael’s.
Wreath: $4
Leaf/berry garland: $8
Brown ribbon: $5 (barely used any of it though)
“R” letter: $2 (natural wood – painted with paint I already had)
Flower accent: already had it
Hot glue and fishing line: already had it
Total: $19
