Last weekend I got to capture photos of graduate Charlotte and her family. It was the perfect chance to get some traditional family portraits, a few senior-style pics, and cap and gown photos. All before her grad party later that day!
Do you know someone in the KC area graduating next year? It’s not too early to start thinking about senior photos! Summer is the perfect time for senior pics … before the school-year-crazy begins, and before my fall portrait schedule fills up.
Lately, senior photos have been my favorite photos to shoot. There’s something special about really having time to warm up to the camera, trying different poses or angles, and giving someone a chance to shine and feel special. I had a blast with Kaitlin, and as it often goes, it was hard to narrow down so many gorgeous shots!
I had a blast taking Gracie’s senior photos last weekend. She rocked the poses and was open to whatever I suggested. I love how her look completely changed with one outfit switch. Isn’t she gorgeous?

I’m SO excited to share this beauty with you! My niece, Beth, is a senior, and I had the honor of taking her photos last weekend. We explored all around her farm and went to her school for tennis and band photos. I loved all of her looks and how she incorporated some of her favorite things. Can you spot the rain in one of them?

Meet Taylor. As my cousin, it feels like she just started kindergarten yesterday. Yet here she is, all grown up and gorgeous! As you can imagine, narrowing down the photos was the hardest part.

We started in the West Bottoms, headed to Quality Hill downtown, and finished in a Lenexa field at sunset.

Senior photos are something to be cherished forever – something to show your grandchildren one day. Elena is such a sweetheart, and she was a natural, as you can tell from the photos!
