Hey there! Welcome to Photographic Rhodes; my name is Lindy. I grew up in Kansas, and as a kid, I started fiddling with my dad’s Pentax SLR camera. (The kind that actually uses film.) I went on to get a degree in commercial graphics with an emphasis in photography at Pittsburg State University. Shortly after college, I began taking engagement photos for friends and donating my photography skills to nonprofits. Now I love shooting portraits around Kansas City – from newborns, to large families, to everything in between.
I also worked as a graphic designer/digital content specialist at the American Cancer Society from 2008-2016. I’d love to help you with your design needs! I can design custom photo books, restore and retouch photos, design invitations or programs, create logos, and even help with brand identity. I offer discount hourly rates to nonprofits.
I live in Liberty, Missouri with my husband, my toddler (Lil’ Miss K, who frequents the blog), and my two cats – Emmett and Esme. We love traveling and being outside.
I am a strong believer in lifestyle photography. I would much rather capture candid moments than stiff, posed shots. If this sounds like you, let’s talk! Please contact me for more information.
