Family in the Fall

Large portrait sessions are sometimes hard to coordinate. We’ve been planning this one for almost a year, but a couple of circumstances delayed it for quite a while. It’s almost like it was meant to be – the weather was absolutely perfect! This family was full of laughter and jokes. Many changes in my life have slowed down my photography this year, but they made me remember exactly why I love taking portraits. Thank you for that! Oh, and a throwback: I took photos of the youngest a couple of years ago.

Photographic Prints for Relay For Life

I’ve been team captain for our Relay For Life team for several years, so I’m constantly trying to come up with creative fundraisers. Last year I decided to try my hand at selling photographic prints, and I raised about $250 with that fundraiser. Not too bad! Naturally I want to beat that number this year. Family Photos | Third Time’s a Charm

I had a great time at all three of the holiday portrait sessions I did over the last couple of weeks, but I definitely think there are some keepers from this family photo shoot! We went to the Rivermarket area of downtown Kansas City, which offers a wide variety of settings, from parks, to urban, to everything in between. And Sophia is one of the cutest, most mature babies I’ve ever met!
