I had the honor and privilege of photographing my coworker’s wedding this past weekend. I think everyone was a bit bummed out that the rainy weather and cool temps moved the ceremony inside instead of on the lake, but everything was beautiful nonetheless. The bride was stunning in her dress, and the families were so much fun! There’s always a hiccup at a wedding – in this case, the bride couldn’t find her purse, which made her late to her own big day. The guests were laid back and took it in stride. Aside from that, it went off without a hitch. It’s obvious how in love these two are – I was lucky to be a part of their big day.
Saturday night we had the pleasure of attending a friend’s wedding at the historic Granada Theater. I’ve seen some awesome photos of weddings at theaters, and my husband and I actually looked at theater for our own reception venue, but this is the first time I’ve ever attended a wedding at a theater. It was great! We sat at tables for the both the wedding and the reception. No long span of time between the two, no leaving so they can change the set-up from wedding to reception, no distant drive between venues. It was a beautiful wedding and I wish the couple nothing but the best.

Saturday evening I had the privilege of photographing Miranda & Jesse’s wedding. The fall farm setting was gorgeous, and having her fathers’ and guests’ airplanes in the background was a memorable touch. This was my first wedding, and since it wasn’t nearly as nerve-racking as I thought it might be, I hope it’s not my last.
