Portrait Session | Winter Family Photos
I had such a great time taking photos of this family this weekend! They were perfect – full of laughter, interacting as a family, and just being themselves. Their outfits were coordinated by a relative who works at the Gap – can’t you tell? Here are a few of many favorites.

It’s turning out to be a beautiful year for autumn leaves in the Midwest. I think the colors will be at their peak in a week or so. I grabbed my camera and took a different walk route yesterday afternoon for this view. Bonus – I even remembered my camera!

My husband and I are braving the frigid weather to rake our leaves before snowfall, in an attempt to help our new grass grow. Here are some brilliant red leaves from before they all fell.

Yesterday brought several rounds of quick, but fierce, thunderstorms through the Kansas City area. Some of my friends posted photos on facebook of some crazy-looking frontal clouds, but unfortunately I was stuck inside work without a good view. Yesterday at sunset, however, there were some storms off in the distance, causing the sky to have a really unique, gorgeous hue.
