Just another photo from Saturday morning. I love the simplicity and the early morning light.

We stayed at my in-laws this weekend in Southeast Kansas. As I stumbled my way downstairs, still half asleep around 7 a.m., I saw this out the front door. I immediately grabbed my camera and headed outside, barefoot and in my pj’s. My in-laws weren’t the least bit surprised when I came back in with wet grass clippings caked to my feet. They sure do know me! This photo is dedicated to my mother-in-law – today is her birthday!

Unlike the majority of my Facebook friends, I don’t have any back to school photos to share with you. (Unless you’d like to see the bulletin boards in my husband’s classroom.) So I pulled out this photo from my two-year-old archives of our pretty cat, Esme. She looks a little older and a little heavier now, but she’s still just as mischievous.

Playing around a few nights ago when my nephew came to visit…

Here’s an abstract photo from this weekend’s wedding. If I could change one thing, I’d zoom out just a little so the groom’s hand isn’t cut off. But there’s nothing I can do about it now! As you can see, the bride and groom, along with the other guests, had a great time at the reception!

Saturday night we had the pleasure of attending a friend’s wedding at the historic Granada Theater. I’ve seen some awesome photos of weddings at theaters, and my husband and I actually looked at theater for our own reception venue, but this is the first time I’ve ever attended a wedding at a theater. It was great! We sat at tables for the both the wedding and the reception. No long span of time between the two, no leaving so they can change the set-up from wedding to reception, no distant drive between venues. It was a beautiful wedding and I wish the couple nothing but the best.

A purple wildflower on our walk the other evening.

My nephew came to visit for a couple of days, and we spent quite a few hours making up this really cool board game called the “Funner than Fun Triathlon.” It consists of trivia cards, exercise cards, and carnival games. Pretty creative, if you ask me.

This is my cousin’s gorgeous little girl, sporting her big sister’s dance tutu.

One of my favorite people and one of my favorite kitties at one of my favorite places.
(My parents’ kitten loves my cousin Clare, who drove from Iowa to stay with my parents for a few days. As you can see, we all bonded.)
