This is the first time our cat Esme has made the blog in quite awhile. After taking some photos of Baby K with Christmas lights and putting her down for a nap, I returned to the living room to find Esme snuggled up next to the lights. Silly kitty! (Take Two of Baby K and Christmas lights is scheduled for the near future.)
I had such a great time taking photos of this family this weekend! They were perfect – full of laughter, interacting as a family, and just being themselves. Their outfits were coordinated by a relative who works at the Gap – can’t you tell? Here are a few of many favorites.

I’ve been so busy editing photos from two recent portrait sessions that I haven’t had much time to shoot/edit photos of Baby K. This is one of my recent favorites … just playing at home on a cold day.
Last weekend I had the opportunity to shoot my first “official” senior portraits – and I loved it! There’s something different about getting to work with someone one-on-one that I really enjoyed. You can have fun with different poses, and you don’t have to worry about a lot of people looking good at the same time. Daniel was very receptive and photogenic, as you can see!
Wow, time flies. This weekend I got to shoot Heidi’s one-year photos. I love watching this sweet girl grow…she’s only three months older than my daughter, so it’s always fun to see what’s in store for me in a few months! This little girl can walk and talk like no one’s business. Take a look back at her 6-month photos.
Baby K just loves our black cat, Emmett. He’s the most laid back cat you’ll ever meet – he actually goes up to her and lets her pull his hair or grab his ears. He’s just happy to get attention from someone! I love watching their sweet relationship grow.
Who knew that the best toy in the world to 9-month-olds would be a remote?
