Photo of the Day: Reindeer & Penguin

Creative blog title, right?

Since this is our first winter in a house, our outdoor lights are pretty skimpy. We’re hoping to stock up on lights when they go on sale after Christmas. I bought these cute little guys at Target a couple of years ago, so they’ll just have to be a bit lonely in our front lawn this season. Looking at Christmas lights is my husband’s favorite holiday tradition. What is yours?

Days 21-23: Iowa: Life Changing

I’m not sure about Iowa being life-changing as their slogan says, but we did have an interesting trip to Iowa this weekend. We traveled there for my uncle Bob’s funeral. He will be greatly missed, but it’s comforting to know he lived a long, full 94 years. We got to spend some great quality time with family and saw some interesting sites along the road.
