I’m excited to say that my husband and I got a new car this weekend! (Notice that symbol in the bottom-left corner of the photo – the best part about it!) Can you figure out what we bought from this photo?

Someday … I will own a Porsche like this. Ok, maybe not. I don’t think I’ll ever be rich, unless I win the lottery. And I’m not winning the lottery unless I find the winning ticket on the ground. Even if I had the money, I probably wouldn’t spend it on a flashy car. But if someone wanted to give me a sports car, this is definitely the one I’d pick.
I have been meaning to experiment with light trail photos for quite a while, and since there was nothing going on last night and it’s getting darker earlier, it was the perfect opportunity. This is an 8 second exposure of cars passing by. Whaddya think?
I learned about this zoom photography effect on digital-photography-school.com yesterday, so I thought I’d try it out. It’s all done on camera, not in Photoshop. What do you think?
Can you see the long line of cars behind us in the rear view mirror? Rush hour in downtown Kansas City was a little busier than normal this week with the Big 12 Tournament at the Sprint Center. I can’t complain though, because it was estimated to bring $14 million to the city. Plus – what a beautiful day to have the window down!

I’m going out of town for a few days, so I’m posting both yesterday and today’s photos. I’ll post this weekend’s photos when I return.
After a slow and slick drive home from work yesterday afternoon in the rapidly accumulating snow, I attempted to capture the falling snow in a photograph.

About 7 inches of snow later, I woke up early this morning to find that work was closed. I planned to help Jerod get ready for work so he could get an early start on the road. I started his car, but instead of helping him clean it, I just took pictures as he worked away in the cold. So much for double the fun! Spring, I’m not so patiently awaiting you!
