After planting a green pepper plant in May and watering it regularly, it’s finally starting to produce peppers! I’d almost given up. Aren’t they cute? I hope they taste as good as they look.

After spending way too much money in vet bills, I think we’ve officially adopted the black cat we rescued a couple of months ago. It just occurred to me that I’d only taken one picture of him. After trying for quite a while yesterday, I realize why. He doesn’t sit still for one. single. second. He’s the most affectionate cat you’ll ever meet, but he still doesn’t get along great with our other cat. He chases her in what seems to be an assertion of dominance. Any tips out there?

Sometimes I really enjoy looking back at photos I’ve taken, even just a year ago. It’s crazy how you may get a really good photo, but you don’t post it or print it, so it completely slips your mind. I took this one in Southeast Kansas last September.

This weekend my husband and I attended one of our favorite annual events with a group of friends – the KC Irish Fest. This Irish band, We Banjo 3, rocked it! We all loved their show – from their musical talent, to their upbeat music, to their energetic stage presence.

I’m excited to say that my husband and I got a new car this weekend! (Notice that symbol in the bottom-left corner of the photo – the best part about it!) Can you figure out what we bought from this photo?

I’m excited to go to the annual KC Irish Fest this afternoon, which takes place just south of the historic Union Station. I took this photo of Union Station just before Irish Fest last year.

With college football starting up this weekend, I couldn’t help but think of my Alma Mater, the Pitt State Gorillas! I took this photo at the Kansas City zoo last year.

As promised, I’m finally posting photos from our dining room makeover. We started late May and had most of it complete by mid-June. It took me awhile to accessorize the space. I just hung our final piece – a new clock – last week. I’m still debating on whether to spray paint or replace the chandelier – what do you think? (It looks like brass in some the photos, but it’s actually more of a dark copper.

And here’s the entire series:
After a lot of careful consideration, I chose these three photos from our trip to Italy for our canvas art in our newly renovated dining room. Tomorrow is the big reveal! (Before, during, and after photos of our dining room.) Can you guess which three cities these photos are from?
