My Miss M is already seven weeks old! She had her first smiles at five and a half weeks, but she’s just now really starting to smile for us. I actually caught a few on camera today! I included a couple of her typical serious face, too.

My dad, the girls (ages 3 and 5.5 weeks), and I took a 7-hour round trip to Shelbina, MO yesterday to visit my grandma. She was tickled to meet Miss M and see Lil’ Miss K again. She’s 93 years old but still hasn’t lost the “touch” when it comes to babies! Miss M has now met both of her great-grandmas.

I can’t believe my baby girl is already a month old…and I have to start thinking about work in a week and a half. *Insert sad face.* But oh my, how she’s grown! She is gaining weight much faster than Lil’ Miss K did (who had reflux and a milk protein allergy) – I think she looks like K’s size at two months! She doesn’t even feel like a newborn when I hold her anymore. *Insert another sad face.*
Here are her first comparison photos that I plan to do each month.

We welcomed Miss M to the world four weeks ago, today. I should have posted birth and newborn photos, but my facebook followers have been seeing pics of M for several weeks now, so it feels a bit redundant. I’ll catch you up with two newborn photos, and two photos from today, when Miss M met her great-grandma. They share a middle name: Mae. Her great-grandma still has the touch with babies and was pretty tickled to learn about her namesake. Love!!

We had some friends and their 4-month-old over last weekend. Lil’ Miss K gets a little jealous when I hold him (ok, a lot jealous), but she started opening up to the idea of him when she got to play with his “fan toy” with him.
She’s even better at playing with her stuffed animal “friends” – she set up a whole indoor picnic for them the next day! It was nice to have a weekend not packed with plans – time to play at home and enjoy our girl.

I loved photographing Eli and his family in the West Bottoms this past weekend. It seems like his parents were just bringing him home, but he already celebrated his first birthday. He’s the happiest, smiley-est (yes, I said smiley-est) baby in town! He and his fun parents made my job easy. What a cutie!

After posting photos of Lil’ Miss K monthly for the first two years of her life, I decided to switch to recording once every three months. But then I forgot…so now we’re doing once every four months. My, how she’s changed since her second birthday!
Speaking of change, I’ve been a little MIA lately. Between a vacation to Peru, a new job, several portrait sessions, and preparing for Relay For Life, I’ve been busy – to say the least! And each one of those deserves it’s own blog post. Stay tuned!

No, this isn’t my pregnancy announcement!
I had the pleasure of taking photos and creating a pregnancy announcement for one of my favorite couples. I am beyond excited that they are expecting their first baby in August! They are the most deserving couple you’ll ever meet, and I know without a shadow of a doubt that they’re going to be amazing parents.
They are avid backpackers, so we took a hike to one of their favorite trees, stopping for several photo ops along the way. We had to get the perfect moment in the perfect spot. And I’m so glad we did, because I think these turned out just right!

I say it time and time again, but I can’t get over how quickly time flies, especially when it comes to babies. This little guy is celebrating his first birthday in a few weeks. He was one of the happiest, most easy-going one-year-olds I’ve ever taken photos of. Plus, he couldn’t get any cuter. Makes my job easy!

This little guy is such a blessing! You really do forget, very quickly, how small babies start out. I was thrilled to take these documentary-style newborn photos last weekend. Dylan did a great job with our nearly two-hour long photo shoot. The hardest part has been narrowing down the photos! Here are just a few of my favorites.
