I had the honor of shooting photos for this family again after they welcomed baby Will into the world! What could be more fun to photograph than a sweet, snuggly little baby and a fun, active big sister? (Oh yeah, and two proud parents!)

First Birthday Portraits | Happy Baby
I absolutely love taking first birthday photos! They can be hard – toddlers don’t exactly sit still – but their first steps, smiles, and laughs are the best. As you can see, sweet Hollyn is one happy baby! See how she’s changed since her newborn photos a year ago.

Newborn Portraits | Baby Elaine
I am always honored when I’m asked to photograph a newborn, and doubly so when it’s for a new client. Little Elaine is a truly precious gift, and she did great in her modeling debut! It certainly didn’t hurt that Dada & Papa did an amazing job collecting props and coming up with ideas. Isn’t she perfect?

Family Photos | Featuring Little Ace
I had a great time meeting and photographing this family last weekend! Little Ace, who just turned one, stole the show with his cute outfits – especially those suspenders and bow tie!

Newborn Portraits | Baby Hollyn
Baby Hollyn made her appearance just about two weeks ago, and I had the privilege of meeting and photographing her last weekend! She did an amazing job – sleeping when she needed to, barely crying, giving me a couple of smiles, and being chill through the whole session. She’s one beautiful, sweet baby! Here are a few of my favorites.

Family Photos | A Bundle of Perfection
Remember this beautiful maternity session from a few months ago? Well, I got to meet the one-month old for family photos last weekend. Check out the photos – could he be any more perfect? There’s so much love in these photos, I had an incredibly hard time narrowing them down!

Miss M Turns One
My baby is ONE! My emotions aren’t sure whether to be excited or sad about my littlest turning one today. I think it’s a mix of both. She’s had a busy week with 4th of July festivities, and she’s got a busy weekend ahead with her big birthday party. She’s now drinking cow’s milk from a sippy cup, climbing up everything (like up and over the couch), standing up from the floor, and taking a few steps! She’s starting to say more words with meaning now – it’s fun to have two-way communication with her!
Check out how she’s changed since last month. Since this is her last “first year” photo, I’ll be moving away from the rocking chair pics to photos standing with Daddy, like we did with big sis.

Miss M | 11 Months Old
Looking back at last month, I think Miss M has grown a lot! I believe she weighs about 17 pounds now (still petite), but she loves to eat! She can eat a whole Chick-Fil-A kids meal by herself, and she regularly consumes more at the dinner table than her 4-year-old sister. She’s cruising along furniture and getting into more stuff every day. (Her favorites are colored pencils, gel pens, the cat bowl, and the stairs.) She has started saying a few words, like “light,” “agua,” and “uh-oh” – my personal favorite. Best of all – her sister is great at getting her to laugh!

Miss M | 10 Months Old
My little girl turned 10 months old on Saturday! After taking these photos, we found out she was sick. Looking back, I can see she doesn’t look like she’s feeling well. But, she continues to change so much each month! She loves food and is putting on some weight, but is still little at 15-16 pounds. She pulls up and grabs everything in sight. She likes to climb stairs and stand up on stools, climb into the dishwasher, pull up on hanging bath towels, eat crayons, and all sorts of crazy things her sister never did. I think she’s going to be our little troublemaker! She also started clapping, signing “more” at the dinner table, and making more sounds that mimic real words.
See how she’s grown since last month (and see how much the weather has changed).

Miss M | Nine Months Old
This girly turned nine months old a few days ago. She had a big month! She popped out two teeth and started crawling, pulling up, waving, and eating finger foods. She loves food – we haven’t found anything she won’t eat yet. She still nurses great, but we’re going to start feeding her more high-fat foods, because she’s weighing in at 14 lb, 14 oz., just the 5th percentile. She stands 26 inches tall, about the 10th percentile. Her sister was small too, so we aren’t too surprised by her petite stature. See how she’s changed since last month. (You may also notice that it’s much colder in Kansas this month than last month.)
