Last weekend I shot several family portrait sessions at Lenexa City Center – a new spot for me – and it was perfect! Perfect weather, perfect backdrops, perfect subjects. Up first was my tried and true Talley family, who have been with me since the beginning.

Photo of the Day: Iconic Urban Building
This is a photo I took several months ago and never posted, but I’m gearing up to re-open my Etsy shop to sell Kansas City photographic prints as a fundraiser, so I thought I’d share it with you today. Several of my prints are already for sale; the rest should be ready tomorrow! 100% of proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.

Day 271: The Wall
I went on my own personal photo walk during lunch yesterday … which basically means I walked around and took pictures of random things while people looked at me funny. I found out that contrary to popular belief, you can get good photos midday! I ended up with several keepers, but this was one of my favorites.
Day 263: Stop and smell the … vines?
It’s funny how when you stop to look, you can find something beautiful anywhere, even in an urban alleyway.
Day 124: Quality Architecture
Yesterday was a beautiful spring day … and a great day for a walk over lunch! This is one of the historic-looking buildings we passed in the Quality Hill district of downtown Kansas City.
