Days 136-149: Drumroll Please … (Italia!)

I’m sure you’ve all been sitting anxiously by your computers waiting for these photos, so without further ado, here are my daily photos from Italy. Please be patient while I work on the other 1100 or so. I’ll post the best ones on Facebook. If you aren’t on Facebook and you’d like to see them, shoot me an email and I can send you a link.

Looking up at the Trinità dei Monti church and obelisk at the top of the Spanish Steps in Rome.
Massive crowds watch as the Pope rides by in St. Peter's Square in Vatican City.
The Florence Duomo (Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore) and it's bell tower at dusk.
Looking past the Fountain of Neptune in the Piazza della Signoria in Florence.
Lighting candles inside Milan's Duomo.
A hazy, yet peaceful view atop Mt. Tamaro in the Swiss Alps.
A night view of St. Peter's Square in Venice.
Taking a gondola ride in Venice, along with every other tourist.
We visited the quaint town of Ravenna, mostly populated with bicyclists.
Beautiful Italian countryside between Perugia and Pompeii.
One of our breathtaking views from the Isle of Capri near Sorrento.
It felt like heaven's gates were opening as we entered St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican - light was shining through the Cupola as the choir sang for Mass.
Even though we were supposed to be home by 7:30, the sun set on us while we were waiting for a flight home from Chicago.
