Baby K’s first Halloween! Despite the cold, (Truck or Treat last Sunday was 86 degrees; last night was 40 degrees) we had fun trick-or-treating. ~~Baby K~~ Daddy got lots of great candy! I almost felt guilty taking the candy, but it was nice to meet some of our neighbors.

Last weekend I got to be a part of a truly picture-perfect wedding. The weather was gorgeous (actually, hot for October), the bride was breathtaking, and most importantly – the couple was so obviously in love. A perfect beginning to a beautiful marriage.

(Since I was in the wedding, I unfortunately didn’t get to take many pictures.)

The gorgeous weather sure brought out the crowds at the Louisburg Cider Mill last weekend, but we still had a good time exploring the corn maze and wandering through the pumpkin patch with Baby K and friends. Her new best friend is Olaf, the puppy!

Kyleigh’s Gift 5k

This weekend we participated in a very special event – the first annual Kyleigh’s Gift 5k/3k Run/Walk. It was held in conjunction with National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day in memory of Kyleigh, a baby who passed away unexpectedly during childbirth. The money raised goes toward a fund her family started to provide sleep sacks for each baby born at Liberty Hospital. It’s a cause near and dear to many people’s hearts – most of us know someone who has lost a baby or had a miscarriage.

On a more upbeat note – I loved the lively atmosphere with all the kiddos! Check out the photos below.

After yesterday morning’s 5k, Baby K had a grand time jamming on her piano. Who says you can’t be an athlete and a musician? Baby, you can be anything you want to be.
