This little kitty was watching me very apprehensively as I approached my apartment stairs a couple of days ago. Unfortunately it was getting dark and I only had a moment to snap the photo before he took off, so it’s a bit grainy.

I took this photo Monday evening as the sun began to set. It isn’t your typical sunset photo, but I loved the spotty clouds drifting across the sky.

A photo of our friends’ sweet dog, Ginger.

We watched the Super Bowl with some devout Ravens fans last night, which made the game a bit more exciting than usual. (Our Chiefs never make it to the Super Bowl, so we’re never than enthused about either team.) There were a few tense moments in the 2nd half, but lucky for our friends, the Ravens pulled it out.

We may have been far from the stage, but everyone around us still had a great time at last Friday’s concert. And tickets were $10 – you can’t beat that!

We had snowfall in Kansas City this morning. No doubt much of the country is experiencing the same thing. Stay safe!

Happy 1-week birthday to Mariah! If you missed it, check out this wide-eyed baby photo and this father-daughter photo posted last week.

This is one of my favorite photos from the Winter Jam concert Friday night. I loved everything about the concert – the cheap tickets, the message, the music. More photos to come!

Birthdays change as you age. My dad’s low-key birthday celebration on Thursday was proof of that. We met at a casual restaurant, and my mom baked him cookies instead of a cake. Since candles don’t really stick in cookies, he just held the 6 and the 4 while we very quietly and quickly sang happy birthday, so as to not disturb other patrons.

As a continuation of yesterday’s photo, I just had to share this one, too.
