Back in business | Family portraits

Aside from a few mini sessions during the stay-at-home order, I haven’t had the opportunity to do portraits in many months, so I was more than excited to take one of my favorite families’ annual portraits last weekend! If you haven’t had family photos taken lately…outdoor portraits are a great way to support local photographers from a safe distance.

Sidenote: now is also the time to book 2021 senior portraits!

To be Two…

Oh, to be two and carefree again … I love the joy in my Lil’ Miss K’s face every time we go to the park. It’s about to turn cold here, so I probably won’t be taking any more of these photos for a few months.

Back to Portraits

Most of my clients typically stray away from doing photos in the heat of the summer, so this is my first portrait session in a month or so. We lucked out with a relatively cool evening. This is one of my favorite families ever (and yes, I’m partial because Julie is one of my best friends). The older kiddos are loads of fun, and 6-month-old Baby D couldn’t be cuter! He was enthralled with looking down at the grass, so we improvised and had Daddy “toss” him in the air to capture his smile from the right angle.

Portrait Session | Unique Location, Fun Family

In addition to shooting Damon’s senior portraits yesterday, I got to take photos of his immediate and extended family! They had done their research and preparation on location, poses, and props – which made my job easy. Not to mention how photogenic they were. I loved shooting at Krug Park in St. Joe. You can hardly tell it’s a park from the cool stone backgrounds.
