High School Grad + The Fam

Last weekend I got to capture photos of graduate Charlotte and her family. It was the perfect chance to get some traditional family portraits, a few senior-style pics, and cap and gown photos. All before her grad party later that day!

Do you know someone in the KC area graduating next year? It’s not too early to start thinking about senior photos! Summer is the perfect time for senior pics … before the school-year-crazy begins, and before my fall portrait schedule fills up.

Iron District | Urban Family Portraits

The fury of fall portrait season has begun! The leaves haven’t quite turned yet, so last weekend we headed to the Iron District in North Kansas City for some cool urban backdrops. The location didn’t disappoint! I had so much fun with this family and their sweet, energetic kiddos. And I love that they included Grandpa in a few shots, too.

Day 290: NEXT Worship Service

Yesterday our church, Platte Woods United Methodist, launched a new contemporary evening worship service. I’ve always enjoyed the organ and traditional hymns since that’s what I grew up with, but the rock band went above and beyond my expectations. This service is going to be a great place for believers, doubters, and everyone in between to come together to discuss and celebrate Christ. If you live in North KC and are looking for a church home, I invite you to give this service a try.

Guitarist and singer Micah leads the NEXT worship community in song.
