I absolutely love taking first birthday photos! They can be hard – toddlers don’t exactly sit still – but their first steps, smiles, and laughs are the best. As you can see, sweet Hollyn is one happy baby! See how she’s changed since her newborn photos a year ago.
Here are a few shots of Baby K’s birthday party decor. Unfortunately I forgot to get a photo of all the cute hanging paper spirals, zoo animals, and balloons. It was by no means Pinterest-worthy, but I had fun planning – especially putting together the photo collages! And of course I had to throw in one photo of the cute birthday girl. 🙂
Baby K had a great time devouring her first birthday cake! It took her a bit of time to figure out what to do, and the cake was a little too dense for her to make big mess, but she definitely enjoyed each bite!

This is a typical day for me at work. I’m usually the first to arrive in the parking lot and the last to leave. I’d love to brag that I’m a workaholic, but it’s actually because I go to the nearby Y after work. I’m just glad to see a little sunlight now that the days are getting longer!
