Happy Easter! We were happy to host Easter at our house this year – our first chance to “entertain” in our new home.

I told myself I would only post ONE photo per week for my Project 52 this year. But I just can’t help it. We were so busy spending time with my family and my in-laws, that I want to share a piece of that with you. So here’s a glimpse of our very busy Easter weekend. Which photo is your favorite?
Last week I mentioned that I may go after Easter shopping since I have almost no spring decorations. Well, I wasn’t joking. I found several cute items at Target yesterday for half off! This spring sign may be my favorite $3 find! Just a side note: this photo was taken with my new lens; a birthday gift from my parents!

Platte Woods United Methodist Church had a packed house for Easter. They even added an extra service and offered shuttle rides to help with parking. What a great way to celebrate Christ!

This is my all-time favorite Easter decoration! (And one of about three I actually own.) I may have to go after-Easter shopping this year. 😉 Although I do think it’s sad that probably the most important Christian holiday has become so commercialized and secular.

What a great joy that the processional of children walking through the isles waving palms was five or ten minutes long at the Palm Sunday service! We didn’t have the best vantage point from the middle of a crowded pew, but the kids were adorable. Even the poor screaming girl, who obviously DID NOT want to be there.

I think this photo tells how much fun we had at our spring party at work on Friday. We had an egg relay, egg dying, and an egg hunt. The winners of the egg relay walked away with a package of Peeps, but the best prize was a half-day off work in the egg hunt, which was never found!

I spent about 3 hours last night boiling 54 eggs for our spring party at work. Then I had to test the dye to make sure our egg dying would be a success. It looks like it will be!
