Amongst all the fall family photos, I had the opportunity to take Eva’s senior photos in early November. I’ve been so excited to share this sneak peek with you! From the poses, to the smiles, to the flattering outfits…these are practically perfect in every way. Amiright? She made my job easy…the shooting part…not so much the selection part. We started in the West Bottoms, headed to Quality Hill downtown, and finished in a Lenexa field at sunset.
Fall Family Portraits | Black Hoof Park
We made the best of a chilly, rainy evening to sneak in a few family portraits at the beautiful Black Hoof Park last weekend. This family is one of my regulars, and I love taking their photos every year and watching them grow! Aren’t they the cutest?
Family Portraits | The Iconic Loose Park
Are you even a photographer if you don’t take photos at Loose Park in the fall? I think not, given the number of photographers we encountered at last weekend’s portrait session. It was the perfect evening, the leaves were at their peak, and the roses were still in bloom, so it’s no surprise it was the place to be. Despite all the other people, it was worth it. Loose Park might just have the best fall foliage in all of KC. (My fall wedding photos were even shot there a number of years ago!) Bonus: seeing cousins I hadn’t seen in almost two years! I love, love how these photos turned out, just like I love this family.
My Girls | Fall Portraits
Last week I dragged my family to a random roadside spot I’d been eyeing on a cold evening to take fall portraits. I am obviously biased, but they’re my favorite clients (and also my hardest)! I may or may not have bribed them with IHOP in exchange for letting me pick their outfits and minimal whining. I’m only going to share a few of my girls, ages 4 & 7, because Christmas cards are coming and I don’t want to spoil them!
Fall Family Portraits | At Home!
It was fun to visit this friend’s home for their family portraits last weekend – especially when they recently moved back from across country! Their backyard was the perfect setting for family portraits, especially with the warm fireplace so close by on the chilly morning. Welcome home, friends!
Fall Family Portraits | Ernie Miller
I’m always excited when I have new clients entrust their family photos to me. I try my best to put them at ease – it’s ok if comfort items make it into the shots, and it’s totally fine if not everyone looks at the camera all the time! I’m so happy with how these shots turned out of these sweet little boys and their parents.
Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park | Fall Family Session
This family has photo-taking down to a science. They know how to make each other laugh, pose, and smile just right for the camera. And the kids know that the faster they do it, the sooner they’ll get their yummy supper or treat. I love it! I always appreciate my loyal customers who come back for photos every year – it’s so fun to see how they grow and change! Here are a few of my favorites from last week’s session.
Stagecoach Park | Family Portraits
It’s always fun to try out new places – last weekend I took this family to Stagecoach Park in Olathe. They were even willing to brave the chilly morning and meet me shortly after sunrise. And we even got some great smiles from the boys! I love these sweet kiddos (and Mom and Dad are pretty great, too).
Maternity Portraits | Nature Sanctuary
Last weekend I had the honor of shooting maternity and family portraits for this beautiful family! We squeezed in the shoot right before a rainstorm at Ernie Miller Nature Sanctuary, but you’d never know it from how these turned out. Best of luck to them in the coming weeks as they become a family of five!
Parkville Nature Sanctuary | Family Portraits
The leaves are just starting to turn in the Midwest, but it’s prime time for fall portraits. The Parkville Nature Sanctuary proved to be a great spot, with trickling streams, unique tree stumps, and native plants. This family is always up for getting outside and immersing themselves in nature – I can tell it’s their happy place. #icanrelate I can’t wait to see how much these kiddos grow to love the outdoors as they age. See how they’ve changed just since baby Will’s newborn photos 6 months ago!
