Mini Session #1 | Black Hoof Park

Last weekend I did a few back-to-back mini sessions at Black Hoof Park – one of my favorite places to shoot due to the variety of landscapes close together. You’ll see as I post these sessions how different they all look, due to lighting & location. Up first is the Talley family – one of my regulars!

Family Portraits | Liberty Memorial

I believe one of the things that makes my portrait sessions different, is that I love shooting at different places and finding unique vantage points. That’s exactly what we did last weekend at Liberty Memorial. There were several photographers set up with the iconic skyline in the background, and while we shot there too, I love the photos we got in other spots – the fountain, mosaic walls, and the actual memorial in the background. These silly kids made the session….and editing…so much fun. Little Kendrix made all the silly faces!

Family Session | Hints of Fall

It may have been in the 90s when we took these photos last weekend, but the few fallen leaves definitely give these a crisp, fall feel. We hit the jackpot with some great photo spots at the Parkville Nature Sanctuary. I loved taking photos of these silly girls and their sweet parents!

Sibling Portraits

After shooting professional headshots for a business professional a few weeks ago, I was thrilled when she asked me to take photos of her kids, too! I’ve spent a lot of time photographing younger children, but the more time I spend with older kids, the more I love them! This family was a whole lotta silly and sweet – an absolute joy to capture memories of. The location? One of my favorites – Ernie Miller Nature Center.

Family Portraits | KC Rivermarket

One of my favorite families is baaacck!! I love that they pick a new location for portraits every year. This year, we headed to Kansas City’s Rivermarket. I haven’t shot there for a few years, so it felt like all new territory. I love all the colors and the gorgeous golden light!

Spring Mini Session #2

This is the second mini session I donated to my girls’ elementary school fundraiser. Yes – we can get some fabulous shots in just twenty minutes! After having done full sessions and minis, if it’s your first time with me, I’d recommend the standard session to allow more time for everyone to warm up to the camera. But I’m still thrilled with how these turned out!
