Photo(s) of the Day: On the Farmstead

This weekend Baby K and I visited Deanna Rose Farmstead with two of my best friends and their four kiddos. These friends are two of four siblings, with a total of seven kids ages three and under. They’re used to the beautiful chaos of lots of children … I am not. But I loved every minute of it.

Feeding the ducks was quite a hit.

Look at that smile, and that hair! Such a pretty girl.

Photo of the Day: LOVE

Yesterday when I got home from work & the gym, my over-tired baby was grouchy. Within minutes she fell asleep in my arms. How could these arms possibly be more comfortable than her bed? I can’t imagine … but I so love it.

Photo of the Day: TGIF

I’ve had quite the day at work today. Luckily I have this photo from yesterday evening to make me smile. She’s definitely got the “Rhodes eyebrow!”

Impromptu Independence Day Photo Shoot

I was so excited that my good friend and blogger Mandy, and her husband David, joined us for our family Fourth of July celebration this year! On a whim, what turned out to be a photo of Baby K and me, turned into a mini family photo shoot. Most of these were taken by Mandy – thanks, friend!

Photo(s) of the Day: Sunday Mornings

Sunday mornings with Baby K are the best. She has been sleeping until about 9 a.m., so on Sundays I get to wake her up for a change – to get ready for church. I love opening her curtains, singing to her, and watching her stretch, squeak, and squirm, as if to say, “I’m not ready to wake up yet, Mom!” Once her eyes open she’s full of smiles. This weekend my sister and nephew got to witness this highlight of my week.

And by the way, Baby K is featured on my friend Mandy’s blog today – check it out!

Photo(s) of the Day: Biggest Little Royals Fan Ever

This weekend we attended Baby K’s third Royals game! You may think I’m a huge baseball fan, but I admit that isn’t exactly true. I do enjoy baseball, but usually one Royals game a year is enough for me. We just happened to have the opportunity to go to three games this season – and we sure picked a great one for it! Baby K is obviously good luck – they won all three games we attended. And she’s on her way to being an even bigger fan, because her Uncle Matt spoiled her with some cute girly Royals onesies!

Photo(s) of the Day: BFFs

This weekend we were thrilled to have good friends from Colorado stay with us. The best part … they have a son (whom I’ve nicknamed Lil’ W) just two days older than Baby K! Is it destiny? We’ll see in about three decades – the daddies have agreed they can start dating when they’re 30. I guess they haven’t noticed Lil’ W is already making a move on Baby K!
