It’s still summer for a few more weeks, and it’s still finally hot out here in the Midwest, so why not break out a fancy summer dress for church? She looked so pretty I just had to get a shot. This one’s for Grandma Sue.

One of the aspects I love about where I live is that despite the size (pop. ~30,000), and the location (the Midwest), there are still fun things to do. The Matha Lafite Thompson Nature Sanctuary is a great way to spend a morning or afternoon. We’ve taken a picnic and gone on a few hikes there twice now, but this was the first time with Baby K. Saturday felt like a nice day, until we started hiking in the sun. It was hot. We saw a lot of small wildlife though, and it was so nice to have a laid back Saturday afternoon – the first one in months! If only we had Labor Day once a week instead of once a year!

This is the third and final installment of photos from our Rocky Mountain National Park vacation. This is the one my friends will enjoy the most, and my fellow bloggers could care less about.
Check out my wildlife photos, or take a peak at my scenery shots.

On our trip to Rocky Mountain National Park a few weeks ago, we saw an amazing number of wildlife. The elk were everywhere, and the chipmunks were so cute and tame! I’ve wanted to see a moose for some time now, so when we ran into a group of pedestrians with cameras alongside the road, I was ecstatic to see a moose grazing in a field. We encountered a few mule deer, a snowshoe hare, and squirrels, too.

We visited Rocky Mountain National Park a few weeks ago, but I just finished editing photos today. I can’t fit my favorites into one blog post, so I’m splitting it into three. I’ve skied in Colorado many times, but this is the first time in my adult life that I’ve visited in the summer. I was blown away by how pretty it is. This is a place I could never tire of.
Six months doesn’t sound that old, but half of a year? Yikes! She’s getting so big!
(Side note: She’s got about 30 bows, and I happened to choose the same one I used for last month’s photo. FAIL. And when she’s not wearing a bow, which is the majority of the time, she constantly gets called a boy. Even in pink. EPIC FAIL.)

Baby K and Lil’ W had their second date last week! (Check out photos from their first date, if you missed them.) We had the pleasure of visiting Lil’ W’s family last week in Colorado … more pics to come soon. I have about 450 to edit. 😉
