I found Baby K snooping through the t-shirt drawer a couple of days ago! It’s hard to believe she’ll be one year old in just a week. She’s still only in the 2nd percentile for height – and probably the 2nd percentile for hair growth, if they measured that.
It’s hard to get a photo of Baby K when she always wants what I have. This time, it was the lens cap.
(And she looks a lot more bald in this photo than she really is – she rocks the baby mullet, or the “bullet,” as Daddy calls it.)
Baby K wasn’t too thrilled about being out in the cold in her puffy snowsuit, but Daddy and I thought it was pretty amusing!
It’s hard for me to see how much Baby K grows until I look at these photos. Her face has definitely changed since last month! (Click to see her 10-month photo.)
Baby K’s favorite pastime is climbing the stairs! It’s really a game to her, because she knows we’ll always follow her.
Sometimes I make mistakes in photography. In fact, I delete more pictures than I keep. At first glance, I thought the focus was all wrong. By the second glance I started to like it. The third time I looked at this photo, I decided it was blog-worthy. After all, the focus doesn’t always have to be on her.
After taking about 400 photos at family functions over the holidays, I set down my camera for a couple of weeks. This little girl was getting out of practice!
Last weekend, in contrast to yesterday’s four inches of snow, was actually quite warm. So we took a trip to the zoo. It was fun watching Baby K show interest and interact with the animals more than previous trips to the zoo. The first picture is what we claim to be her favorite animal – since her entire room and half of her wardrobe is adorned with owls. The second photo is probably her true favorite. The tamarin was actually very intrigued by Baby K!
This is the first time our cat Esme has made the blog in quite awhile. After taking some photos of Baby K with Christmas lights and putting her down for a nap, I returned to the living room to find Esme snuggled up next to the lights. Silly kitty!
