Day 165: Bumping up with Bunco

Last night my cousin Holly and I hosted our 2nd Annual Bunco for Relay night. We had a great turnout with 28 people, we ate a lot of food and had a great time socializing. But best of all, we raised $442 for our Relay For Life team! We’re moving up toward our $5,000 goal!

Day 163: Helping Hands

I noticed these perfect hand prints on our bed as Jerod helped me change the sheets yesterday. What’s your feedback … is it a creative photo, or is it just hard to tell what’s going on?

Day 162: The Hills Are Alive

Last night we went to Theatre in the Park to watch the Sound of Music. Since it was so nice outside we decided to get there early to get a good seat. Believe it or not, we got there at 6 p.m. for an 8:30 show and the crowds were already forming.

Day 161: Taking a Gander

Yesterday evening my sister and nephew stayed with us before heading to the airport in the morning. My nephew loves to feed the geese and the ducks at our pond. The goslings are now several weeks old and actually bigger (and meaner) than the full-grown ducks!

Day 160: Trash and Treasures

This week is the Platte Woods United Methodist Church annual Trash & Treasure Sale. Since we only joined the church a few months ago, last night was my first time experiencing the sale. All I can say is…WOW! I’ve never seen so many “treasures” in my life! The only sale I know of that competes with this one is my former high school Band Garage Sale, which raises around $10,000 annually. All the proceeds from this sale go toward the church’s mission trips.
